Dr. William C Baird, PhD., HCLD, founded Reproductive Diagnostics in 1987. Dr. Baird is a High Complexity Lab Director (HCLD) through the American Board of Bioanalysts (ABB) and has maintained that status since 1995. He has served on various committees for national associations, including instituting and revising accreditation requirements for College of American Pathologies (CAP) and the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).

History and Purpose.

Prior to 2021, we helped countless individuals and couples on their fertility journey by providing in vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratory services. While we have shifted away from IVF, we remain committed to providing exceptional laboratory services. We provide fertility preservation, semen analysis, sperm washing, testicular biopsy assistance and sample processing, and more. Our commitment to helping those who wish to start a family has not wavered. Dr. Baird started Reproductive Diagnostics because of his dedication to helping all kinds of people on their path to parenthood. It’s close to 40 years later, and that is still what drives him and our team every day.

When you work with RDI, you are choosing a local option that provides immediate, on-site analysis, and freezing of your sperm by one of our highly trained and experienced laboratory technicians. These factors generally result in higher-quality and more usable samples than mail-in cryopreservation services. Mail-in cryopreservation can result in sperm that has been exposed to potential stresses during transit like temperature extremes, rough handling or delays.

Our immediate on-site services avoid these issues and additionally gives you the opportunity to collect again quickly if necessary, even the next day.

Preserving peace of mind.

When sperm, eggs, or embryos are frozen, they have to be stored. Frozen sperm, eggs, or embryos are stored in liquid nitrogen (LN2) filled storage tanks that keep them frozen, indefinitely.

All of our fertility preservation tanks are protected by Boreas Monitoring Solutions state-of-the-art weight-based monitoring system, the CryoScout, which recognizes and alerts our team to a potential storage tank issue or failure days before traditional temperature alarm systems would do so.
